We would love to link your posting/name with a face. Please send us a photo of you, not an official mug but a photo that shows us the REAL you. Just click on the attach photo button below and upload a picture from your computer.
Hey Al. Not sure if this only happens to those of us who are unrecognized members posting (posing?) as guests, but I could not download a pic directly from my computer... needed to post a pic that was already hooked to a URL. So you'll have to settle for a mug from my blog.
I'm going to guess that Al means you hit "reply" then "attach image." If this is not right, I'm making a total fool of myself.
However, what I'm attaching is a photo of me at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis, where twice a day you can sit in the lobby and watch the ceremony in which a group of ducks are escorted on a red carpet to and from the fountain in the lobby. If you're ever in Memphis, I recommend it.

Hi everybody, hope I'm not making a fool of myself by not beeing able to attach some pics (special thanks to Jane for giving step-by-step-instructions ...!).
That's (1) me at work, trying to calm down my students before having their first experience in presenting their own TV-programme, that's (2) me after work, lucky laughing after having finished a 4-weeks-journalism-basics-course with 22 participants, and that's (3) me without work, having some winter holidays with my lovelywonderful boys, Arthur (left) and Max (in front). And you will have the chance to meet Max face to face, he's coming with us to visit Florida.

OK -- so I'm a little behind. And had I known that it would make more sense to join the list using my real name instead of a goofy nickname I wouldn't have to tell you that this is Sandy Ellis.
The picture was easily chosen after looking out my window at all the snow-- Blue Ridge Mountains last July when it was considerably warmer and sunnier than now.
This is me during my reporting days covering immigrant and refugee communities for The Oregonian. I'm writing a story on deadline about the historic Iraqi absentee vote in January 2005, in the midst of a post-voting celebratory picnic in Orange County, Calif. And yes, I know, that laptop is a klunker. I have a somewhat newer, lighter one now.
Photojournalist Herb Swanson (my husband) gets credit for this 2006 pic and even more importantly for the four lobsters. He paddled his kayak out to a lobster boat in Tenants Harbor, Maine, handed over a twenty, stashed the squirmy bugs in the ****pit, and paddled back to our little cottage in time to steam them up for my 56th birthday.
Just posted my pic with caption and was amused to find that the noun referring to the cargo hold of a kayak is half verboten. I guess you'll figure ****pit out. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
