Like many place, we face the silo problem here. One faculty member actually used the term during a faculty meeting on curriculum revisions last semester. Many here seem to want to develop multimedia as its own silo, whereas I see it as cross-subject/discipline/platform. I figure it will take time to break those silos down but welcome any ideas on how to do that...
We're also a fairly small department but the major is a popular one and student demand is high. I'm trying to find ways to manage up and get more funding for equipment. Any and all thoughts along those lines are more than welcome :)
