Needs work at the University of Florida

I'll make this brief, because I'm posting primarily to show that if you START A NEW TOPIC here in this thread, you can put your school's name in the topic title.

This will make the topic easier to read and easier to respond to. If you choose to REPLY to someone else's topic, then your school will be buried. If you reply, you should be responding to what that topic-posting person wrote.

So if you want to talk about my school, UF, then REPLY to this.

But if you want to tell us about YOUR school, start a NEW TOPIC right here in this thread, "What Needs Work?"

The 800-pound gorilla at my school is the fact that we are completely un-converged between print journalism and broadcast news. Each of the two departments has completely separate online journalism courses (four in "print" and two in telecom). The separation between the departments and the students has an impact on how much students can learn in their undergraduate program.

We also need to improve our computer lab facilties and our equipment access for students.
